Hi, my name is Steve

I have lived in Portsmouth my whole life. In fact my family tree goes back to 1417 and I even have an ancestor's image as a stained glass window in the Cathedral in old Portsmouth. I was always out and about and blagging my way into parties and gigs, living life to the full and resisting the urge to grow up! I travelled the world seeking adventure and never felt complete, until I settled down with my lovely wife Tiff and my two great step sons. You can meet my family here.

Life has been a bit of a rollercoaster but I now realise it was all preparation for the master plan! Life certainly pushes you & is a constant platform for learning. So this is where I am today still learning but now with purpose and understanding.

I am 40 years old going on 80 sometimes. My family call me Victor (a well earned name). I work for an international company as a site manager helping to run a defence maintenance contract as part of an onsite team. I went back to college in my mid 30s and earned a HND in construction management.

Tiffany my wife has been around as a mate for years before we got together, she is now my best friend. I even recall her antics at my 21st birthday. We have been married for a year and a half but together for 8 years.

OK so why CFK? Well we had a beautiful daughter called Rosie on April 30th 2008. I fell in love the moment I saw her and all of a sudden the rest of my life clicked into place.

But life can be challenging at times and she was first diagnosed at 2 weeks old with Cystic fibrosis. Once the intense emotions like anger and hurt died down I asked that question. . . . Why Me!! A very good friend said to me why not you? I stopped and thought yeah that's right why not me? So you can sit and wallow in pity or you can get up and do something. This was when I was asked to join CFK.

My management skills and enthusiasm for life and the love for Rosie along with the support of my wife encouraged me to get stuck in. Finally I could put all that energy and experience into something good and put the positive back into my and other lives. I am part of a great team even though I'm the only man!

And enjoy the positive energy we produce and the good that we do. My darling Rosie is a gift to us and an inspiration. If we can continue to help CF kids and support our hospital in their great care of our CF Community we are achieving our purpose and goals. So don't forget to check my Tribe out on the "Our Families" page. Thanks!
